Dense-Structure Al2O3 Ceramic Seal Rings Zero Porosity Alumina Mechanical Faces for Mechanical Seal Applications

A mechanical seal lives or dies by the quality of its sealing faces. Our Dense-Structure Al2O3 Ceramic Seal Rings are manufactured from 99.5% alumina sintered to theoretical density, producing a body with zero open porosity so that process fluid can never penetrate, blister or weep through the ceramic structure under pressure.

The mating faces are lapped to optical flatness measured in light bands and polished to a mirror finish, creating the low leakage, low friction interface that mechanical seals depend on. Combined with high thermal conductivity that carries frictional heat away from the face, alumina rings run cooler and more stable than many alternative face materials across a wide range of pump and mixer duties.
