Dense-Structure Al2O3 Ceramic Seal Rings Zero Porosity Alumina Mechanical Faces for Mechanical Seal Applications

A mechanical seal lives or dies by the quality of its sealing faces. Our Dense-Structure Al2O3 Ceramic Seal Rings are manufactured from 99.5% alumina sintered to theoretical density, producing a body with zero open porosity so that process fluid can never penetrate, blister or weep through the ceramic structure under pressure.

The mating faces are lapped to optical flatness measured in light bands and polished to a mirror finish, creating the low leakage, low friction interface that mechanical seals depend on. Combined with high thermal conductivity that carries frictional heat away from the face, alumina rings run cooler and more stable than many alternative face materials across a wide range of pump and mixer duties.

• Optical grade flatness: Faces lapped to one light band flatness ensure uniform contact and minimal leakage across the seal interface.

• Chemical compatibility: Stable in water, oils, solvents, mild acids and alkalis for broad pump service coverage.
• Precision mounting features: Bores, counterbores, drive slots and O-ring grooves are machined to tight tolerances for drop-in assembly.

These seal rings serve mechanical seal applications in centrifugal pumps for water, wastewater, chemical, petrochemical and marine service, as well as mixers, agitators, compressors and rotary equipment requiring dependable shaft sealing.

We manufacture both original seal faces and replacement rings for popular seal brands, with material pairs selected in cooperation with the customer to suit the fluid, temperature, pressure and speed of the duty.

Seal faces are individually protected with tissue liners and foam, packed in clean partitioned boxes and then into export cartons suitable for courier or consolidated freight.

Every ring is verified for flatness and surface finish before packing and ships with a dimensional inspection report for full traceability.
