Heat-and-Wear-Resistant Al2O3 Ceramic Kiln Furniture Plates Alumina Support Beams for Industrial Kiln Components

Industrial kiln components must carry heavy ceramic loads hour after hour at temperatures that soften steel and creep in many refractories. Our Heat-and-Wear-Resistant Al2O3 Ceramic Kiln Furniture Plates and Support Beams are engineered from high alumina bodies that combine refractoriness with the mechanical strength to support saggers, ware and dense products through the entire firing cycle without slumping or distorting.

High alumina kiln furniture also resists the abrasive action of ware being loaded and unloaded, the chemical attack of fluxes from glazes and fuels, and the thermal shock of repeated kiln cycling. Because the furniture is dense and strong, sections can be slimmer than conventional refractory designs, allowing more useful kiln volume, faster heating and lower energy consumption per batch.

Key Features
  • Load bearing refractoriness: High alumina body supports heavy ware at continuous temperatures to 1600°C without deformation.
  • Abrasion resistance: Dense hard surface withstands scraping and impact during loading and unloading of kiln furniture.
  • Flux and fume resistance: Resists attack by glaze fluxes, ash and kiln atmosphere contaminants that destroy porous refractories.
  • Thermal shock tolerance: Survives the heating and cooling cycles of batch and shuttle kiln operation.
  • Slim strong sections: High strength allows thin plate and beam profiles that maximize kiln loading volume.
  • Clean ware support: Non-dusting dense surface keeps fired ware free from refractory contamination.
  • Complete kiln furniture range: Plates, beams, posts, saggers, batts and custom supports made to kiln drawings.

Applications

These components serve industrial kiln components in ceramic tile kilns, tableware and sanitary ware kilns, electronic ceramic firing, refractory production, enamel frit furnaces and technical ceramics sintering, wherever ware must be supported cleanly through the firing cycle.

We engineer complete kiln furniture systems with our customers, calculating beam spans and load cases to define the most economical furniture arrangement for each kiln.

Packaging & Quality Assurance

Plates and beams are stacked with foam or cardboard separators and packed in wooden crates with support blocking to prevent bending and edge damage.

Batch inspection verifies dimensions, flatness and surface quality, with certificates available for kiln operators quality records.
