Ultra-Pure 99 Percent Al2O3 Ceramic Feedthrough Insulators High Purity Rings for Vacuum Equipment Components

Vacuum systems are unforgiving of materials that outgas, adsorb moisture or crack under the stress of bakeout cycles. Our Ultra-Pure 99 Percent Al2O3 Ceramic Feedthrough Insulators are produced from high purity alumina sintered to zero porosity, giving vacuum equipment components a fully dense body that contains no trapped gas and releases nothing into the chamber even under hard vacuum and elevated temperature.

The ceramic combines high electrical resistivity with mechanical strength, so feedthrough insulators reliably separate high voltage conductors from grounded chamber walls while surviving the thermal cycling of regular vacuum bakeout. Precision ground sealing surfaces allow assembly with metal-to-ceramic brazing or compression seals, and every part is manufactured to the vacuum component drawing.

Key Features
  • Ultra high purity: 99% alumina with controlled low levels of volatiles minimizes outgassing in vacuum service.
  • Zero porosity body: Fully dense sintered structure contains no internal voids that could release trapped gas.
  • Bakeout compatible: Withstands repeated high temperature vacuum bakeout without cracking or degradation.
  • High voltage insulation: Dielectric strength of 15 kV/mm isolates power and signal feedthroughs reliably.
  • Brazing ready surfaces: Ground surfaces accept moly-manganese metallization for ceramic to metal brazing.
  • Thermal cycling endurance: Low expansion and high strength tolerate the thermal stresses of process cycles.
  • Custom vacuum components: Insulators, standoffs, viewport rings and feedthrough bodies made to drawing.

Applications

These insulators serve vacuum equipment components in deposition systems, etch tools, ion implanters, electron beam welders, vacuum furnaces, particle accelerators, mass spectrometers and every class of vacuum apparatus requiring reliable electrical feedthroughs.

We support vacuum component manufacturers with matched insulator sets for multi-pin feedthroughs, and offer metallization and brazing coordination with certified partners to deliver complete subassemblies.

Packaging & Quality Assurance

Insulators are cleaned, wrapped in cleanroom film and packed in foam-lined boxes to protect ground sealing surfaces in transit.

Each part is supplied with dimensional and surface inspection records, with optional cleanliness testing for critical vacuum applications.
