Our Corrosion-Resistant Al2O3 Ceramic Chemical Pump Parts and Acid Proof Seal Rings are made from fully dense 99% alumina, a material whose chemical stability rivals that of noble metals but at a fraction of the cost and with far superior wear resistance.

Because alumina is a completely oxidized ceramic, there is nothing left to corrode: it withstands most inorganic acids, alkalis and organic media at elevated temperatures, and its mirror-like ground sealing faces stay flat and smooth so mechanical seals keep their sealing integrity over extended duty cycles. Components are manufactured to the pump builder drawing, including complex profiles, grooves and precise lapped faces.
