High-Temperature-Resistant Al2O3 Ceramic Furnace Tubes Alumina Muffle Pipes for High Temperature Furnace Applications

Furnace atmospheres punish ordinary materials with extreme heat, oxidizing gases and rapid thermal cycling. Our High-Temperature-Resistant Al2O3 Ceramic Furnace Tubes and Muffle Pipes are extruded or isostatically pressed from high purity alumina and sintered to full density, producing a refractory body that maintains its strength and gas tightness at continuous service temperatures up to 1700 degrees Celsius.

Unlike metallic retorts that creep, scale and embrittle, alumina muffle pipes keep their shape, remain chemically inert to most furnace atmospheres, and provide clean, particle-free containment for heat treatment, sintering, calcining and atmosphere research. Straightness and wall thickness are closely controlled so the tubes can be installed into existing furnaces with minimal modification and long, predictable service intervals.

Key Features
  • Extreme temperature rating: Suitable for continuous use to 1700°C and short excursions higher, covering most industrial heat treatment processes.
  • Gas tight dense wall: Zero porosity construction prevents atmosphere leakage and protects both the work load and the furnace environment.
  • Thermal shock resistance: Optimized grain structure tolerates rapid heating and cooling cycles without cracking or spalling.
  • Chemical inertness: Unaffected by oxidizing, reducing, vacuum and inert atmospheres as well as molten salts and glass.
  • High strength at temperature: Retains substantial mechanical strength well above 1000°C for reliable horizontal and vertical installations.
  • Clean processing: No scale, flaking or outgassing keeps furnace chambers and processed materials free from contamination.
  • Custom end configurations: Closed ends, flanges, stepped bores and thermocouple pockets can be machined to the customer specification.

Applications

Typical furnace applications include protective atmosphere sintering furnaces, laboratory tube furnaces, diffusion furnaces, ceramic kiln thermocouple protection, vacuum furnace internals, metal heat treatment retorts and quartz replacement in high purity process zones.

We also supply matched assemblies such as muffle tubes with end flanges, inner liners for multi-zone furnaces and stepped adapters, all produced to the customer drawing with full dimensional inspection before dispatch.

Packaging & Quality Assurance

Long tubes are individually wrapped in foam sheeting and shipped in wooden crates with internal support cradles to prevent bending or impact damage during transport.

Each tube is checked for straightness, wall thickness, gas tightness and visual surface defects before packing. Inspection certificates are available on request.
