Electrical-Insulating Al2O3 Ceramic Standoff Insulators High Voltage Bushings for Electronic Device Components

Reliable electrical isolation in electronic devices begins with an insulator that will not degrade under voltage stress, humidity or heat. Our Electrical-Insulating Al2O3 Ceramic Standoff Insulators and High Voltage Bushings are pressed and fired from 96% alumina to create a dense ceramic with dielectric strength well above organic insulating materials, together with the rigidity to support conductors and printed circuit boards over long service lives.

The smooth glazed or ground surface resists moisture tracking and arc formation, while the high operating temperature ceiling gives designers freedom to place insulators close to power components that generate significant heat. Precision machining allows the integration of threads, flanges, grooves and mounting holes in a single robust ceramic part that never rusts, ages or loses its insulating properties.

Key Features
  • High dielectric strength: Consistent 15 kV/mm dielectric strength supports compact insulation designs in high voltage electronic assemblies.
  • Exceptional volume resistivity: Resistivity above 10@SUP14@ ohm-cm at room temperature minimizes leakage current in sensitive circuits.
  • Arc and tracking resistant: The ceramic surface does not carbonize under electrical discharge, preventing the formation of conductive paths.
  • Thermal endurance: Continuous operation is possible at elevated temperatures where polymer insulators would soften or melt.
  • Dimensional precision: Ground end faces and machined threads ensure accurate stacking height and reliable mechanical assembly.
  • Humidity immune: Non-hygroscopic body keeps insulation resistance stable in high humidity operating environments.
  • Custom electroding: Metallized pads or fired-on silver terminations can be applied for soldered or brazed connections.

Applications

These insulators are widely used in electronic device components such as power supply feedthroughs, high voltage diode housings, ignition system insulators, capacitor end seals, relay and contactor bases, X-ray tube isolation parts and antenna mounting insulators.

For original equipment manufacturers we provide engineering support to convert metal or plastic insulator designs into alumina ceramic equivalents, with prototype quantities available in two to three weeks and full production runs scheduled to the customer forecast.

Packaging & Quality Assurance

Insulators are packed in partitioned cartons with individual foam protection to avoid chipping of threads and edges, then palletized for export shipment.

All parts are 100% inspected for dimensional accuracy, dielectric integrity and visual surface quality before packing. Test certificates accompany every delivery.
