Latest company news about Excess Hydrogen in Molten Aluminum? Si₃N₄ Degassing Shafts and Rotors Ensure Dense, Defect-Free Castings

Hydrogen is a common impurity in molten aluminum, leading to porosity and reduced mechanical strength in castings.
The Silicon Nitride Degassing Rotor and Shaft are engineered to withstand continuous operation at 700–1000 °Cwithout oxidation or chemical reaction.

With flexural strength ≥ 800 MPa and density ≥ 3.2 g/cm³, these components maintain dimensional stability and ensure long-term durability.
Si₃N₄’s non-wetting property prevents aluminum contamination, while the optimized rotor geometry disperses argon or nitrogen into micro-bubbles, achieving faster and more uniform hydrogen removal.

Industrial tests show a 30 % increase in degassing efficiency and up to 50 % reduction in casting porosity compared with graphite rotors.
Now widely used in die-casting, aluminum alloy refining, and continuous casting, Si₃N₄ degassing systems ensure clean metal, longer rotor life, and more reliable production for high-performance aluminum components.
